All human beings can experience growth, healing and success in their lives if they receive adequate support from others who genuinely care about them.

As a male therapist, the majority of John’s clients are men and boys. He also works with couples and families. The struggles John’s clients face are often related to couple issues, family relationships, peer relationships, academics or career issues.

John’s training is in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also a Registered Play Therapist for children ages 4-12. He’s passionate about helping clients find short-term relief while working toward long-term solutions.

History

John joined The Jonas Center in April, 2015 and sees clients in Eden Prairie. John’s previous mental health experience includes working with children as a therapist in an elementary school. He has also seen children, families and adults as an in-home mental health provider and has provided therapy to incarcerated men and women. Before entering the mental health field, John worked as a professional musician and was a stay-at-home dad with his son and daughter.
