Therapeutic Philosophy

Shawna believes that life can throw “curve balls” that are challenging to navigate. Therapy is a place to explore how these challenges impact us and those we care about and how we can move forward with what we value in our lives. She believes that each of us is the expert of our lives, empowered to make healthy decisions for ourselves. Shawna would like to help you through the more difficult times in your journey, creating a safe place for you to be open, explore, and grow as an individual, couple, or family.

History

Shawna’s background in mental health includes providing individual and family therapy and social skills to people in their homes, training in-home service providers, and working with individuals in a residential treatment facility. Shawna is married and enjoys spending quality time with her husband, son, and dog.
