Therapeutic Focus
I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities in my therapeutic work, including Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I provide compassionate, individualized care to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. I have a strong passion for helping children and adolescents develop emotional regulation skills, enhance self-awareness, and strengthen connections with caregivers and peers. Additionally, I collaborate closely with schools, families, and community providers to ensure each client receives coordinated, comprehensive support.
Competencies
My clinical competencies are grounded in years of experience as both an educator and a therapist under supervision. I have a strong foundation in child and adolescent development, neurodiversity, and behavioral strategies, and I am skilled in supporting clients through emotional regulation, trauma recovery, grief, depression, anxiety, and adjustment-related challenges. I work with clients across the lifespan—including children, adults, families and couples—and am proficient in assessment, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and maintaining ethical documentation. I collaborate closely with schools, caregivers, and community providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to building supportive, trusting therapeutic relationships.
Therapeutic Philosophy
My philosophy as a therapist is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique experience. I view therapy as a collaborative process, walking alongside clients on their journey toward healing and growth. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their inner world, gain insight, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. I believe every person is inherently resilient and capable of transformation, and I am committed to helping clients uncover their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and move forward with confidence and hope.
History
I bring a strong background in special education, with licensure and experience in Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), Emotional or
Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Specific Learning
Disabilities (SLD). I’ve supported students with diverse needs, helped families navigate school
systems, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care. This work often
included addressing emotional challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and adjustment
issues. My passion for mental health led me to pursue marriage and family therapy. I have
experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, eating disorders, behavioral concerns,
and family conflict. I integrate clinical theory with practical experience to offer personalized,
compassionate care.
I joined The Jonas Center in May 2025 and am excited to support its mission under the
supervision of Christine Paulson.
