Therapeutic Focus

Anna has experience working with adults with depression, anxiety, mood and thought disorders, attachment and relationship issues, difficult life-transitions, grief and loss, low self-esteem, substance use, and trauma.

Competencies

Anna uses a holistic, non-pathologizing approach to counseling that is centered in Relational and Insight-oriented therapies and utilizes mindfulness, narrative, self-compassion, cognitive-behavioral, mind-body, and positive-psychology practices.

Therapeutic Philosophy

Anna is passionate about listening and connecting to others and believes that the foundation of therapy is a caring, deeply human alliance between therapist and client. With core values grounded in humor, authenticity, and compassion, Anna strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore, navigate challenges, connect to their innate ability to heal, and feel empowered to make meaningful change.

History

Anna has worked in the mental health field since 2011 serving adults in need of community mental health support and advocacy. Most recently, Anna worked as the program supervisor and counselor at an assisted living program specialized in providing holistic mental health support for adults.

Anna joined The Jonas Center in 2020.
